About the Ghost Divas

gd14

The Ghost Divas are four women with one common interest – THE TRUTH. They are known for speaking their minds and asking the hard questions, sometimes in a less than eloquent manner.  They have been blogging for several years and have hosted the internet broadcast show, Ghost Divas Live, for two years.  All of them are independent paranormal investigators, though the Ghost Divas are not an investigative team.  The Ghost Divas comment on the current events of the paranormal community.

The Ghost Divas are not a team of ghost hunters. All are paranormal researchers, authors and talented in many ways.

They don’t make this stuff up – they merely comment on what’s already there.  They ask people to be responsible for what they put out there and be accountable for their words and actions.  That’s not too much to ask, is it???

There are a few bitter souls out there that have made it their jobs to spread vicious lies and rumors about these ladies so they would ask that you bear in mind that reputations are often built on perceptions rather than reality.  If you’ve heard something about them, just ask, they’ll tell you the truth.  That’s what they do.  They have been accused of “doing things” to people but the reality is that they have done nothing but ask people to be honest.  The Divas like to have fun and have a great sense of humor. If  for a moment you think they are taking things “way too serious”, think again.  They laugh at anything and everything they feel to be nonsensical in the field of paranormal research and ghost hunting.

So without further adieu, meet the Ghost Divas:

Tonya H. iTonya J. Hackers the founder of GHOULI – Ghost Haunts of Oklahoma and Urban Legend Investigations – www.ghouli.org.  The best part of paranormal research is EVP! Tonya is a published author and is in the process of writing a few books!

tammy

Tammy W., founder of Eerie Oklahoma (www.eerieok.com), is an avid history buff and conducts historical tours of local ghost towns as well as ghost tours. She specializes in history behind paranormal investigations and is also a published author.

Tonya and Tammy are the authors of “Ghostlahoma – Over 100 Years of Oklahoma’s Haunted History.”

janiceJanice O. has been a paranormal investigator for over thirty years and is a writer whose work appears in the Weird State series. Janice is a well respected and well known author. She specializes in history… the good, the bad and the controversial!

Although Amanda is not new to anomalous activity in her life, she is amandarelatively new to the research aspect of paranormal investigations.  She has investigated with both GHOULI and Eerie Oklahoma on occasion, but most of her activity has been online observing what other investigators are doing, saying, and how they are behaving. Amanda is our eyes and ears of the outside world aka “non ghost hunters”.

Bob H. is known as the Ghost Diva Daddy. Initially, he was a guest on our show and we liked him so much we asked him to bobbecome a regular member of the show, doing the television reviews. Friendships blossomed and grew and he is now the Ghost Diva Daddy. The founder and director of the Georgia Ghost Society and the Central Georgia Representative for the American Ghost Society,  Bob was honored to be named one of the Top Ten Paranormal Ghost Investigators In America by Haunted Tours of America.

Pete Haviland and Steve Quest make sure our shows go off without too many hitches, not to mention they lend genuine friendship and support to us every single day.

Ah, thanks Admin, I found it.

Im glad i found you guys….Love your radio show….Keep spreading the truth….You Rock

  6. Andrew Keeler says:

I just wanted to say I like your style and agree with you guys 80%… On the issue of Paranormal Tv fans I have to argue.. Until shows like ghost hunters came on the air I saw the paranormal field as a bunch of elitest jerks.. I had alot of experiences growing up in a town known for its strange history.. For a long time I searched for some kind of outlet or answer that didnt have to involve religious or spiritaul means… Ghost hunters although yes i understand its a SHOW! showed me that its not all crap… That there is a scientific movement in the field and not everyone in it are the equivilant of para jocks…I think you should re evaluate how you see people like me… Granted Ill give you that their are morons that throw money at these guys but they exsist IN EVERY THING! Go to any sci fi, religious or sport retreat and most of them you will find are sheep. Thats becuase People like me dont go to these retreats and realize they are money grabbing… but its not any diffrent from say a sports bar or a casino in princable…And yes I dont have a doctorite but I can tell a Blow hard when I see one…

The fact is that you sound like your getting sore becuase your exclusive club is now letting everyone in and with it comes the idiots… Not that Im saying you are but thats kinda how your coming off..I think that the guys from Taps although ya they are deffinately blow hards they make a TV show.. Just like Star Trek and ghost whisperer… Most can tell the diffrence but like my former example there are people who think speaking klingon is a usefull skill.. Back to Taps what they did is significant becuase it made me open up to the paranormal… I suddenly realized I wasnt alone and that growing up what happened to me wasnt just a fabrication.. People saw the Beatles in the same way when they turned music into what it is today back in the 60s…

My point is there are always going to be your False Prophets and your sheep willing to follow them…But even Jesus did some good and no one is perfect…So you can blast the TV Paranormal all damn day but do not discount the fans of it.. We are not all sheep.. And like any other “reality tv” we enjoy the entertainment and experience of it all… So please make no mistake and judge us neophytes to the Paranormal.. Becuase you where just like me once too…

  7. Jim Brantley says:

    Hello, and congratulations.

I’m glad I found this site. I listened to the Donna LaCroix interview on SRN and was quite impressed with her sense of honor and spunk (you really gotta like a woman like that). I’m not a paranormal specialist by any stretch of the imagination; however, I am very good at coming up with solutions and have an idea you might like. If you would like to hear more just let me know.

My best wishes to all of you, and Donna. Keep the truth coming.

    Jim

  8. Aimee says:

    Hello.
This is to the Donna LaCroix interview. Fuck these retarded “Ghost divas ” and Donna. The Ghost Divas are like really stupid. OH YES IM A GHOST DIVA YA. Only crack addicts would call them selves that. They are stupid. FUCK YOU!.

  9. admin says:

I thought about not approving your comment but thought it would be funnier to let the world see what a dumbass you are. Only women confident enough would call themselves that. Obviously you don’t have the moxie. Fuck you, too, and have a great day.

  10. Aimee says:

ohhh im so scared of u. please approve my comments :( . fuck u . Ya lol confident to call them selves ghost Divas. Crack addicts have some confident to. and i wasnt talken to u. so FUck off

  11. admin says:

You weren’t talking to who? Are you 12? Please, if you’re going to insult people, check your spelling and grammar. We don’t allow stupid people here. But thanks for trying.

If you really think your “fuck yous” are going to hurt anyone’s feelings, you’re obviously new, LOL. We just laugh at idiots like you.

  12. Danny says:

I stumbled upon the site after hearing the interview with Donna. The interview seemed rediculous. Donna seemed like she was being led along by the interviwers. She didn’t seem to elaborate on any of her claims. It seems like she’s pissed off about the Jason and Grant making money off the show. I hate Ghost Hunters and TAPs, but this whole interview seems like bullshit. Ghost Skanks, I mean Divas, sucks!!!

  13. admin says:

Well, Donna’s a big girl and she owned her own words. We did not lead her one bit. So we’re skanks because of what she did? OK, that makes sense. It’s nice to see the children playing on the internet today.

  14. TonyaH says:

LMAO!! I just love these redneck idiots. hahahahah

    WAY too funny!!!!

  15. Amanda says:

Really, Aimee and Danny? Nobody forced either of you two to come over here to post your ignorant and uneducated comments, nor did anyone force you to listen to the podcast. So what’s you’re real agenda? People who decide they want to bag and attack us always have an agenda. Who are you with? Are you investigators? Are you fans? What’s your beef? Just tell us what type of attention you need and we’ll be happy to oblige.

Andrew, we never expect anyone to agree with us, ever. We just so happen to find a lot of people who do, and never 100% of the time though. We don’t even always agree with each other 100%, because, simply put, that’s not how life works. If someone agrees with you all the time, I would NEVER trust them, because it tells me he/she cannot think for himself/herself. I’m glad you enjoy us and appreciate that values you have. Thanks for the kind words.

  16. La La a wannabe Diva says:

I found your site after hearing the Donna interview on another site. I gotta say I\\\’m digging ya. I was a huge GH fan for years. I thought it was real (excluding the guy in sneakers under the blanket at Eastern State). As the show went on it became apparent that there was a lot more bull shit than real shit happening. Honestly, for me it was awful to see since I really liked the show and some of the TAPS team. I now question my favorite episode, the St Augustine Lighthouse. I feel horrible for Donna and think she\\\’s back peddled due to pressure (lawsuit threats).

To all your haters out there; \\"Wow, pull it back a bit bitches ya crazy is showing.\\" This is the USA where freedom of speech is a gift to us all. You are entitled to your opinion. However, so are the Divas and myself. On that note if you\\\’re believers in Chip \\"Crackpot\\" Coffey, Father Blob, Grant \\"fishing line\\" & Jason \\"Wannabe bad ass\\" or the rest of the paranormal for pay fucktards it\\\’s time to lay off the green olives and ask your doc to up your meds.

Rock on Divas and keep kicking ass and taking names

  17. These comments are going way off topic, let’s get back to a more interesting subject matter…… me ;)

Seriously you guys do need to go on air earlier, I am an old man and asleep by 9PM on a Wednesday night. Reading these comments I see people are still on the TAPS bandwagon, eventually I am going to hit the way back web search that pulls up old archive sites, go to the old ghostsafari.com message board and pick out the idiotic questions, and comments the TAPS team asked 7 or so years ago when they first started “ghost hunting” just to prove the fact they never had an original idea or thought and everything they claim is in fact ideas and theories other teams had when they first started. 2 years ago when I watched their show I saw them claiming theories that was posted on the same message board they frequented years prior as their own. They are a manufactured image with no originality.

When I began this research I studied the work of Dr. Tart, Dr. Taft, the SPR, the ASPR, Holzer, Kaczmarek, Taylor, Price, etc. I looked at what they were doing, how they researched, what they were looking for, their methodology, their results, and developed a basic guideline on “how to” then expounded on it as my own knowledge increased. I didn’t create an entire career based on a bunch of people from an internet message board.

  18. Danielle says:

To the Donna interview, something seemed off. To me it didn\’t even sound like her. TAPS ghost activity being staged, some of it could be… Donna\’s interview being staged, very well could be!

Legally, why would she come out and say something like that about them knowing that would ruin their show and SyFy?

  19. admin says:

Nice reaching. Email her and ask her if it was real. We are not fakes or liars. Anything she said did not ruin anything. Why would she say it? Because it’s the truth.

  20. wasinterested says:

so i was googling stuff about ghosts when i came across this page, i tell you what, reading all the trash on this site about fellow ghost hunters. its a damn shame as i honestly will not get my life involved with such childish acts. i say shame on the “ghost divas”(as your name implies you guys are only in it for fame, diva, come on)
also, threating people as i read on “Scifake”. i will stoop to your level and say this: i think every ghost hunter out there should get together and ban you guys publicly. you guys seem as lame as the tweeked out “extreme paranormal” crap i saw on television a few months back.
i await your response. (i am correct to assume you will trash me and spat nonsense on how you “divas” are the real ghost hunters and the actual “ghost hunters” are not. i mean come on, if it wasnt even for those guys you more than likely wouldnt even have a blog.

    honestly, you guys suck.

  21. tonyah says:

We only trash liars and fakes… we only call them liars and fakes when we research it and find it out to be true.

The Ghost Divas are not famous, nor do we claim to be. This is an assumption by you, which you obviously do not know us very well. We cater to the people in this field that are smarter than the average “ghost hunter”. If you do not understand, I suggest you take a look in the mirror and do some self reflecting concerning your own personal beliefs.

You will not get involved with childish acts. Um, welcome to the paranormal field. It’s a dog eat dog world and if you are involved in it, you better not trust much of anyone. If money, fame or any type of opportunity knocks, you will be stabbed in the back. A field full of liars and thieves. A field where people prey on the grieving and exploit history to make a dollar. A field that you apparently hold dear enough to get involved with childish acts, enough to speak against some of the very few and rare people that continue to seek the truth…not fuzzy orbs in a dusty room.

You don’t have to like us. We do not care if you like us, or our delivery. Our words are strong and it’s effective. (Brought you here didn’t it) We do apologize if our efforts have made you question yourself. This is our only goal

As for SciFake- do your research on that site. It’s a cesspool of regurgitated and rewritten information that Rob Tebo steals in attempts to gain attention/profit from. Do your research please before you pet snakes… they might just bite you.

You can think we suck. That’s fine. We don’t care for people that are so closed minded as to where the truth hurts them.

Carry on…. and may your TV shows lead you the way to digging the well of your dreams.

  22. GD Amanda says:

For us, the word diva reflects an attitude that more women should embrace. So to say we are calling ourselves stars or fame whores is wrong. The name was given to Tammy and Tonya by a television production crew because they refused to conform to what the production crew wanted and they had inetgrity (and they (Tammy and Tonya) insisted they look decnt and not frumpy while investigating). We are not an investigation team, but a group of vocal women who are intelligent and calls it like we see it. If we’re not your cup of tea, then we suggest you move along and ignore the truth at work. I will assume, you like so many others, did not even know about paranormal investigating prior to watching it on television. If that is your only point of reference, we will not waste your time trying to tell you the truth as you already know all you need to know, as seen on TV. The five of us ladies have over 100 years of combined experience between us, so believe what you want, ignore the truth and the world will go on and survive. Glad you stopped by to share what I perceive as what is so wrong with this field today. Good luck with all that.

  23. ParanormalRanger says:

    Danielle and Was Interested:

You two are morons, probably here to attack the Divas especially since one of you is in the Atlanta Georgia area. Could it be Satan! No but perhaps Chip Coffey, Babs or even worse; Christopher Moon!

If you two idiots listened to the show on a regular basis you would know the truth about these ladies and what they’re attempting to do. To attack them because you don’t agree with their message or the method in which they spread it shows little if any real intelligence on your part. Have a real beef with them, then bring it on but otherwise keep watching paranormal crappy tv and drinking the kool-aid the networks pass out.

As for the Donna interview, it was her and before spouting off trash for the sake of your heros perhaps you should stop sniffing Ghosthunters glue or Paranormal States grease pit and use your head. That’s the lump 3 feet above your ass.

  24. Tammy says:

\"so i was googling stuff about ghosts when i came across this page, i tell you what, reading all the trash on this site about fellow ghost hunters. its a damn shame as i honestly will not get my life involved with such childish acts. i say shame on the “ghost divas”(as your name implies you guys are only in it for fame, diva, come on)

    honestly, you guys suck.\"

Ah, I love how people \"happen to come across\" our page and then \"happen\" to be an asshole. What are the odds, lol.

There is no trash here – only truth.

What\’s a damn shame is your lack of being able to construct a proper sentence.

Fame? That\’s a laugh. Yeah, look how famous we are. Amanda explained that one already – we didn\’t pick that name, it was given to us jokingly because we refused to be sell outs for TV. It\’s something we\’re pretty proud of.

It\’s glaringly clear you have no idea what you\’re talking about, just like the other hacks that \"happen\" to land here. When people like you write things like you did, you just look stupid because everyone that knows anything about us knows that everything you said was flat out incorrect and laughable.

As for the SciFake thing – please post where any of us \"threated\" anyone. We don\’t threaten people – any claims otherwise are lies made up by people because they can\’t come up with anything else. If you could really read (which I\’m kind of doubting) you would already know that.

Honey, if you think you can bring us down, bring it on. We\’ve had much more formidable foes than you and look who\’s still standing. We have never claimed to be the \"actual\" ghost hunters over anyone else (I assume you\’re talking about the boys on TV that have claimed the term \"ghost hunters\" for themselves. If it weren\’t for them we wouldn\’t have a blog? Really? That\’s pretty funny because we\’ve been around as \"ghost hunters\" a lot longer than they have and have been together as the Ghost Divas since 2003. If you can read – which it\’s obvious you don\’t whether you can or not – you would see that they are but a snippet of anything we discuss. In fact, I\’m pretty sure most of our blogs are about much more interesting things than a couple of guys from TV.

Perhaps you need to read the entry entitled \"What have you done for me lately?\" for a little course on our accomplishments so you can at least have a clue what you\’re talking about rather than regurgitating bullshit.

Honestly, we don\’t care if you think we suck, but have goddamned original thought in your head and be able to present it intelligently before coming here to tangle.

    Carry on.

    Tammy

  25. I never heard of Ghost Divas until now, but after reading the above remarks, I give these five ladies kuddos and a tip of the hat Tammy is correct, there are those out there who want the fame, fortune and recognition of being into something that has been around for thousands of years. Some call it paranormal investigators, paranormal researchers, parapsychology, or however one wants to term the supernaturnal, But actually, let\’s call it ESOTERIC METAPHYSICS. Most of our sciences came from metaphysics, including psychology and parapsychology. Now that the history lesson has been given; let me get into the meat here for a moment. Having been in the fields of Esoteric Metaphysics (hold a degree) and parapsychology for 52 years, I have seen and done what most out there are doing today. There were psychical research societies going back to the late 19th cen and some went to the wayside, and some are still in existence. And you don\’t hear to much about them, unless one looks up the names on the net. I created an organization back in 1970, called Psychic Phenomena Research Organization, and had a membership of 5 people. We investigated psychical phenomena from Milwaukee-Ca. including the Winchester house. PPRO never wrote books, had radio interviews, or tv shows. But after meeting people in the field, my name became known and to some of the old timers, my name is still bantered about. PPRO wasn\’t as hard working as Ghost Divas, but we did our fair share, with the Boys Clubs, YMCA, Salvation Army and JC\’s. being a Metaphysicain, and as my dad was a MD, I taught some of his collogues holistic medicine working with the energy systems of the body to help the healing process. I am not going all into what I did, for that would be tooting my own horn and this is not the point of the piece being written. Let it surfice, if you want to know more about me, go to my site and read my bio.
Now, as I use to teach to students, there are the wanna be\’s and the want to be\’s and some of the ghost resesrch clubs are wanna be\’s. They want the fame, fortune and name recognition as TAPS and at the moment Ghost Adventures. I was talking to a collogue of mine and he had this to say, \"Ghost Hunters and Ghost Adventures are bad for the entire field. They have kept everyone at ground zero for over five years and have proven nothing and have made no major advancements.\" And I agree with him. What i did back in the early 70\’s and what this friend has done for the last 15 years, we could become more famous than some of the groups out there.lol. I don\’t want that type of recognition, what I can say though, the students that I did teach, have made names in the field of the parnormal and that is my satisfaction.
So again, I clap my hands to the Ghost Divas and will stand shoulder to shoulder with them.
    DR. Clark Schmidt
Director, Institute of Metaphysics and Psychic Sciences and The Universal Parapsychological and Metaphysical Association.

  26. scott everett says:

No wonder people find the field of Paranormal Research so farcical. Honestly, I have been looking at various websites over the years, and anytime someone finds something, other researchers try to dismiss it. I honestly do not care for the attitude this site has towards “famous” ghost hunters. What gives you the right to debase anything anyone does. I am feeling that these “divas” are jaded, probably because at some stage in their illustrious career, they have tried to sell their own tv show to the networks, and failed, so then they get the idea… “lets try to debunk everyone else”.

The term Diva derives from “Prima Donna”, and we all know how prima donna’s act. In fact the very first google search says “a vain and temperamental person”…

In closing, I read that these “ladies” are extremely jealous of what taps, and other paranormal groups have achieved.

I have lived with ghosts all my life, and when my child was a toddler, I had a photo of a vortex, and mist all around the side of her head. We were taking photos of my daughters first steps, when she suddenly look up at some thing (there was nothing there) and fell on her butt. When we got the film back, there it was.

Now I submitted this to several sites around the net, and was told varying answers from it was fake to wow what a great capture. There are at least 3 entities residing with us in this house.

Anyway, as I said at the start. I find it amazing that the internet has given people the ability to hide behind a username, and character assassinate people at every turn. The guys at Taps seem genuine and have found things over the years that have made me go “whoa”, as have the ghost adventures crew. Then there are things that I have gone hmmmm. But does that give me the right to hop on every forum and debase people…no.

I find your methods offensive. Enough said.

  27. admin says:

It always makes me laugh when someone new comes along and spouts the same boring drivel the last person posted. Clearly you didn’t read very much or even try to “get it” or you would see that many of your statements are simply incorrect.

What gives us the right to debase anything anyone does? Because we have been doing this a long time, too, and they’re wrong. Pretty simple. What they’re telling the general public is crap most of the time. Not ALL the time, mind you, but a lot. We also give kudos when they’re deserved. Are we jaded? Yes – because of all the bullshit, we are jaded. Your reasoning couldn’t be further from the truth. We have never tried to “sell” a TV show to anyone. That’s not where our interest lies. If it were to happen, we might do it, but no, not looking for that at all. We don’t try to debunk everyone else at all, we just call bullshit when we see it. The truth ain’t always pretty.

Now here comes the ever present “jealousy” theory. Why do people that disagree with something always get labeled “jealous”? What’s there to be jealous of? There’s not one thing TAPS has that I or any of the Divas would be jealous of. Exactly what have they “achieved” that we would be jealous of? How to hook a fishing wire to your jacket to fake tugs by unseen forces? Trust us, we don’t want to be those guys.

What I find amazing is your inability to do even the smallest amount of research before posting your diatribe. We do not hide behind anything on the internet. On the “about” page you will see our pictures and our names along with bios of each one of us. That’s the difference – we don’t have a thing to hide and we are honest about who we are.

You DO have the right to question things. Why you would think otherwise is ridiculous. It’s people like you that are a very big part of the problem with the paranormal world right now – you don’t question. Why? Because they’re on TV? Being on TV does not mean they know more than the next guy.

I find your inability to research and know what the hell you’re talking about offensive. Enough said.

  28. FVSH Katie says:

Well, looking through the posts here, you ladies must be doing something right because you are both loved and hated. Good job–nothing should ever be unanimous or we are just a bunch of deadheaded sheep.

Now, my question is about frumpyness. I am frumpy. I admit it. I am frumpy when I go on investigations, frumpy when I’m interviewed and frumpy on a day to day basis. But inside I am a ghost diva (independent) screaming to get out. Any suggestions?
